The Entertainment Industry in Ghana is full of bragging and foolishness - Slim Buster

Veteran Musician and Choreographer, Slim Buster, had some interesting takes to share about the Ghana Music Industry on the KSM Show a few weeks ago.According to him, the Ghana Entertainment Industry is full of braggarts and foolishness.

Responding to why he holds this view and what his main focus is when it comes to Entertainment in Ghana, he asserted that,

"My focus is telling people the truth when it comes to Entertainment because I can see the lies in Ghana Entertainment Industry now. The job is not been done, rather it is full of bragging and foolishness".

He further stated that, "What is going on in Ghana now is not Entertainment. Is like come and lie to people and become a celebrity. Telling people about things you don't have. So my main focus is to make sure that the people with the actual talent will focus on the right thing and do the right thing". The singer turned host of Entertainment Politics on Facebook told KSM.

Reverting to whether he is suggesting that the people in the Music scene now are not doing the right thing, He cited the reigning VGMA Artist of the year,Black Sheriff as an example with this view,

"Look at someone like Black Sheriff, a young act who came into the industry. Within three years, look at what he has done. What do you think he did to become so popular? Because he had so much talent, concentrated on it and was consistent on what he wanted to do. We never heard him fight or insult anybody because he wants to become popular. Others are releasing but they are not getting to Black sherrif's level because their concentration is on fight". He vehemently opined as he commended the 'The Villain I never was' creator for achieving this milestone without having to beef his colleagues.

Speaking to the question of beefing being a marketing  strategy for Musicians to promote their music or not, the singer harped on saying, "When beefing started, it was so good for everybody. But now, Ghanaians have realized and seen that, you only need and do not come out with good content. Nigerians don't beef but come out with good content. Which means that the beefing time is over".Beefing now is not working like when shatta started. Ghanaians should stop beefing now and bring out good content". The veteran dancer strongly expressed in disagreement to the love for creating stunts prior to the release of a song by some Ghanaian acts.

"I want to use Black Sheriff as an example. Is he beefing someone ? But he is the best artist now. He is better than those that are beefing". Slim Buster praised the young act while he used him as a precedent to inform Ghanaian artists about them not necessarily having to beef a fellow artist before coming out with a project.

Ebenezer Asare, popularly known as Slim Buster, is a Ghanaian Songwriter and Dancer. He moved to the UK on scholarship to study Music and Sound Engineering after he won the Embassy Double Do Dancing Competition in the late 90s.

He mastered his craft in the UK.Came back to Ghana, where he combined the Dance with Music. He earned for himself a household name after producing multiple hits and clinching some awards.

"There's something new in me which I want to introduce but I'm waiting for the right time and see if it will work. I know it will definitely work". The multiple  award winning artist claimed with optimism as he made his future intentions known on the show.

Known for his flexible dance moves back in the day, the veteran dancer mentioned that, "looking at the dancing and music going on now, I think I can do better. Fortunately for me, I have studied a lot from the whites and together with my talent, imagine how it will look like". The presenter bragged about his abilities and exposure in informing Ghanaians what he can do despite not being involved in active Music or Dance for sometime.
